I recently (as of yesterday) just finished my fifth opportunity to attend training with the Millbrook operational staff -  a five day Leadership development training package.  The content of which, in conjunction with a number of outstanding guest speakers (thanks for "paying for a long time" Dean), has refreshed my outlook on my job and allowed me to redirect the focus to my dedication to the training of our team.  

I have also had the opportunity to work with their administration staff for the purpose of conference planning.  In the nature of my job, I interact with a large number of service providers, both skill and infrastructure based, and they always claim to be customer service oriented but my satisfaction has not always been guaranteed.  However, I can honestly say that from the firing line to the phone line, I have yet to experience a company with a level of dedication to the front line operator such as Millbrook.  When you read the home page and it says "Millbrook.  Those who serve, deserve," I say thank you for putting the time and effort into what you do.  I know of at least 30 of our staff who will have taken something away from your efforts.  I know the door is always open and we appreciate it.  I look forward to a continued relationship and the opportunity to learn.

I want to thank you for the level of effort you put into the course last week. I thought your effort was above and beyond that which I have experienced from any training system, ever, and was very happy to see the drive and determination to make the 7 sailors there the best they could be. I also understand that in some cases we were not up to the level you are normally used to and your patience and "kind words" were fantastic. The feedback from our people was outstanding and in many instances they indicated that that was the best training they had ever received in their careers to date. You have certainly raised the bar for us and we fully intend to include this training in our yearly training plan.

I wanted to take a few minutes to comment to you on the C-8 training that you provided to us last week. In my 28 years of Police Service and 5 years operating the City of Edmonton's Emergency Operation center I have attended countless training programs as well as providing training in a number of tactical topics. Your training program was by far one of the best that I have attended.I was particularly impressed in how your team took a group of 22 people with a varied level of experience on the C-8 to the level that was attained.The skill level of your team is unquestionable. I was very impressed with the humility and dignity with which they treated all of the students. I can only hope that we can serve in Afghanistan with the professionalism that our predecessors have. Thank you for your effort.

A lot of instructors I’ve had simply parrot the big tenants of training.  Dean and Chris from Millbrook have put together a very cohesive training package in their Carbine Tune Up.  Having taken the MTAP (military training assistance program) from the best Canada has to offer I have to say that Millbrook continues the same level of training in a more accessible venue.  I haven’t had a better explanation of the psychological and physiological findings in the human body as they are applied to combat shooting as what Dean gave us during our training.  The training has made me a better ERT operator and a better instructor.  I’ll continue to look to these guys for any of our training for any of our tactical disciplines.
